| Grounding Tip |
| Most electronics products today are painted with powder coat paint which is not a good conductor. Make sure that all amplifiers in a sound rack are grounded to the rack by using starwashers that break through the paint. Test each signal ground terminal on the amplifiers to a bare piece of metal in the rack. |
| Troubleshooting Tip |
| When checking the ground potentials between different pieces of equipment in a sound cabinet, be sure that you are reading 'ohms'. If you are checking for continuity, your meter will beep, even if it sees significant resistance. |
